What is Mediation?
Mediation is a voluntary alternative to litigation that gives parties the ability to understand each other's needs and decide the outcome of their conflict. Clients have the power to create their own solutions using a mediator, a neutral third party, to assist in the process.
Robin is trained in to listen, clarify interests and needs, and help parties to generate options to create a mutually satisfying agreement. Through facilitative mediation, parties resolve their issues, can improve their communication, achieve better working relationships, and continue on with their lives.
Mediation is different from litigation. In litigation, a judge makes the decision on a case, and parties must abide by that judgment. In mediation, parties are empowered to create their own agreement, often resolving their issues faster and more economically.
